APPLE CIDER DONUTS

Makes 12 Donuts

NUTRITION: Each donut: 128 calories, 1g fat, 3.4g protein

Preheat oven to 350F

WET Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of apple cider

  • 2 tbsp. applesauce

DRY Ingredients

  • 1 cup of brown rice flour

  • 1/2 cup of oat flour

  • 1/2 cup of Orgain Vanilla Protein Powder

  • 1/2 cup of organic cane sugar

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

HOW TO

  1. Cook 2 cups of Apple Cider in a pot on the stovetop on Medium-High heat for 10 mins to reduce it down to about 1 cup. You'll only use 1 cup in the recipe. This makes the flavor more concentrated.

  2. Allow to cool for 10 minutes to close to room temperature. It reduces even more as it cools.

  3. While the apple cider is heating, combine all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.

  4. Then add in the apple sauce.

  5. Lastly, add in the apple cider. Mix well.

  6. Immediately spoon into a non-stick Donut Pan or lightly grease the donut pan with vegan butter first.

  7. Bake in the oven for 10-11 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  8. Allow to cool when done.

  9. Sprinkle donuts with a pinch of sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.
